About Course

Cyberbullying Awareness and Prevention” is a six-day training program designed for teachers, students, parents, and school leaders to address one of the most pressing challenges of the digital age. The course explores the definitions, causes, and consequences of cyberbullying, while also focusing on its psychological, social, and educational impacts. Participants will engage in case studies, workshops, and interactive activities to develop strategies for prevention and intervention. Emphasis will be placed on building digital citizenship, fostering empathy, and creating safe online communities. By the end of the program, participants will be equipped to design school-based initiatives and action plans to effectively combat cyberbullying and support affected individuals.

Daily Program

1. Day: Introduction to Cyberbullying

  • Definition and characteristics of cyberbullying
  • Differences between traditional bullying and cyberbullying
  • Platforms where cyberbullying occurs (social media, messaging apps, games)

2. Day: Forms and Consequences of Cyberbullying

  • Types: harassment, impersonation, exclusion, doxxing, trolling
  • Psychological and social effects on victims
  • Academic and behavioral consequences in schools

3. Day: Prevention Strategies

  • Building digital resilience and empathy
  • Educating students about online respect and responsibility
  • School-wide prevention programs and awareness campaigns

4. Day: Intervention and Support

  • Supporting victims: emotional and psychological support
  • Role of teachers, parents, and peers in intervention
  • Reporting tools and online safety mechanisms

5. Day: Legal, Ethical, and Policy Perspectives

  • Legal frameworks regarding online harassment
  • Ethical considerations in online communication
  • School policies and government initiatives against cyberbullying

6. Day: Building a Safe Digital Community

  • Promoting digital citizenship
  • Collaboration between schools, parents, and tech companies
  • Long-term strategies for fostering kindness and safety online
  • Certificate ceremony and cultural activities

Reminding

  • Participants who attend at least 80% of the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance on Friday or Saturday.
  • Training sessions are scheduled for either the morning or afternoon.
  • It is important to bring your own laptop.
  • Any changes during the content week are subject to the trainers planning.
  • Elemantary English (A2) required
  • Requests from participants must be submitted to the training center at least 4 weeks in advance.
  • Please plan your cultural activities outside of the training hours. If you participate in a cultural activity during training time due to unavoidable reasons, please note that no make-up sessions will be provided.
  • The training has been adapted according to Erasmus+ budgets.
