About Course

With the rapid advancement of technology, AI-powered tools now provide educators with unprecedented opportunities to create rich, interactive, and personalized learning materials that effectively support these essential skills.

This course is specifically designed for STEM teachers who aim to digitally enhance their lesson plans by integrating AI technologies. Participants will learn how to design immersive experiment simulations, interactive multimedia content, and data-driven activities that engage students deeply in STEM subjects. The course also covers methods to leverage AI tools to tailor educational experiences to diverse learning needs, fostering curiosity and increasing motivation in students.

By the end of this course, educators will be equipped to transform traditional STEM instruction into a dynamic, student-centered learning journey that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and a lasting passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Daily Program

1. Day: Introduction and AI in STEM

  • Course introduction and weekly overview
  • Introduction of STEM teachers and school presentations
  • Workshop: STEM education and 21st-century skills
  • Fundamentals of AI: How can it be used in teaching?
  • The role and potential of AI in STEM

2. Day: AI-Based Visual and Simulation Content

  • Introduction to visual content creation tools for STEM (e.g., Canva, Bing Image Creator, DALL·E)
  • Creating simulations and virtual labs (e.g., PhET, Tinkercad + AI integrations)
  • Workshop: Participants design a simulation for their own lesson
  • Peer review and presentations

3. Day: AI for Coding, Engineering & Design

  • Generating coding activities with AI (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Replit AI)
  • Engineering design process supported by AI
  • Workshop: Participants create a “project task” and plan it using AI
  • Feedback and sharing of designs

4. Day: AI-Supported Student-Centered Teaching

  • Creating personalized learning paths with AI
  • Generating level-appropriate tasks (differentiation)
  • Gamification in STEM: Creating mini games and puzzles with AI
  • Hands-on activity and presentation

5. Day: Collaborative PBL and Assessment

  • Exploring AI-supported project idea generators
  • AI-based assessment tools for STEM projects
  • Group work: Designing an interdisciplinary STEM project
  • Presentations and idea sharing

6. Day: Course Closure and Cultural Activities

  • General evaluation and feedback
  • Summary of learning outcomes: “What did I learn?” presentations
  • Certificate ceremony
  • Cultural excursion or social activity

Reminding

  • Participants who attend at least 80% of the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance on Friday or Saturday.
  • Training sessions are scheduled for either the morning or afternoon.
  • It is important to bring your own laptop.
  • Any changes during the content week are subject to the trainers planning.
  • Elemantary English (A2) required
  • Requests from participants must be submitted to the training center at least 4 weeks in advance.
  • Please plan your cultural activities outside of the training hours. If you participate in a cultural activity during training time due to unavoidable reasons, please note that no make-up sessions will be provided.
  • The training has been adapted according to Erasmus+ budgets.
