About Course

Basic computer skills are required. Participants will gain knowledge about cybersecurity threats, protection methods, network security, and data protection.

Cybersecurity is a critical field for safeguarding information and systems in the digital world. This course will teach participants how to ensure cybersecurity, the types of threats they may encounter, and how to take preventive measures against these threats. Topics include security protocols, encryption methods, and security tools.

Daily Program

1. Day: Introduction to Cybersecurity

  • Introduction of the course and institution, overview of the week’s activities
  • Ice-breaking activities
  • Participants introduce themselves and their institutions
  • General overview of the cybersecurity field

2. Day: Network Security and Data Protection

  • Introduction to network security techniques
  • Data protection methods and applications
  • Use of firewalls and VPNs
  • Hands-on network security and data protection projects

3. Day: Security Protocols and Encryption

  • Introduction and use of security protocols
  • Encryption methods and algorithms
  • SSL/TLS and other security protocols
  • Hands-on security protocols and encryption projects

4. Day: Cyber Attacks and Defense Strategies

  • Introduction to types of cyber attacks
  • Defense strategies and measures
  • Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
  • Hands-on cyber attack and defense projects

5. Day: Security Tools and Software

  • Introduction to security tools and software
  • Antivirus and antimalware software
  • Security analysis and monitoring tools
  • Hands-on security tools and software projects

6. Day: Course Closure and Cultural Activities

  • Course evaluation: summary of acquired skills, feedback and discussion
  • Course participation certificate distribution
  • Excursion and other cultural activities

Reminding

  • Participants who attend at least 80% of the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance on Friday or Saturday.
  • Training sessions are scheduled for either the morning or afternoon.
  • It is important to bring your own laptop.
  • Any changes during the content week are subject to the trainers planning.
  • Elemantary English (A2) required
  • Requests from participants must be submitted to the training center at least 4 weeks in advance.
  • Please plan your cultural activities outside of the training hours. If you participate in a cultural activity during training time due to unavoidable reasons, please note that no make-up sessions will be provided.
  • The training has been adapted according to Erasmus+ budgets.

P.S. If you register less than 6 weeks before the course start date, a late registration fee of 60 Euro will apply.
