About Course

Basic computer skills are required. Participants will learn about network structures, protocols, devices, and security measures, gaining insight into network administration and troubleshooting.

The course focuses on how networks operate, their components, and network security. It offers practical knowledge on setting up, configuring, and managing networks. Participants will gain an understanding of topics such as IP addressing, routing, switching, and wireless networks.

Training Dates and Locations

Daily Program

1. Day: Introduction to Networking Fundamentals

  • Introduction of the course and institution, overview of the week’s activities
  • Ice-breaking activities
  • Participants introduce themselves and their institutions
  • General overview of networks and basic concepts

2. Day: IP Addressing and Subnetting

  • Introduction to IP addressing techniques
  • Subnetting and calculation methods
  • Hands-on IP addressing and subnetting projects

3. Day: Routing and Switching

  • Introduction and usage of routing protocols
  • Switching techniques and VLANs
  • Hands-on routing and switching projects

4. Day: Wireless Networks and Security

  • Introduction and configuration of wireless networks
  • Wireless network security and encryption methods
  • Hands-on wireless network projects

5. Day: Network Security and Troubleshooting

  • Introduction to network security measures
  • Methods for detecting and resolving network issues
  • Hands-on network security and troubleshooting projects

6. Day: Course Closure and Cultural Activities

  • Course evaluation: summary of acquired skills, feedback and discussion
  • Course participation certificate distribution
  • Excursion and other cultural activities

Reminding

  • Participants who attend at least 80% of the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance on Friday or Saturday.
  • Training sessions are scheduled for either the morning or afternoon.
  • It is important to bring your own laptop.
  • Any changes during the content week are subject to the trainers planning.
  • Elemantary English (A2) required
  • Requests from participants must be submitted to the training center at least 4 weeks in advance.
  • Please plan your cultural activities outside of the training hours. If you participate in a cultural activity during training time due to unavoidable reasons, please note that no make-up sessions will be provided.
  • The training has been adapted according to Erasmus+ budgets.

P.S. If you register less than 6 weeks before the course start date, a late registration fee of 60 Euro will apply.
